Time past and passing

I'm gone for a couple of days and when I get back I find that Roy pulled the plug on his blog. What the hell's up with that?

I was in Oregon the last few days where, unexpectedly, I got to spend time with family members from whom I have been estranged for several years. Much as I would like to rush a healing along, I have no control but I am grateful to still be around. Both of my parents died during my prodigal wandering.

Anyway, It's been a long day.

Yeah, no warning or anything. I always liked reading his blog. This makes me sad.

Something I felt like I had to do, but I'll be damned if I know exactly why. Maybe it will become apparent :) Perhaps, to quote my favorite fictional Sufi philosopher, (Jewel of the Nile,) all will be revealed in the fullness of time. Maybe. But not always.

I didn't want to presume that it deserved an explanation, but that was probably wrong. Diana, I am glad you liked reading my blog. I liked writing it.

Its probably my fault that Roy quit blogging. I just linked him, and you know how I can be.

I liked his blog, was just getting to know it.

That whole family healing stuff is so seductive, at times, but has a time and mind of its own. Prodigality has its price, and often worth paying, in my view.

Roy, of course you don't need to explain why you gutted the little family that sprung up around the warm, glowing campfire your excellent writing created in the dark wilderness of the world. Don't mind about us. We'll just ... weep ... quietly ... here ... in ... our ... corners ... sigh but Someone, don't worry. It wasn't you. It was my fault. I have that effect on everything good and wonderful. Prodigal doom bird, don'tyaknow.

That was just perfect, Asha :)

JudyBlue, I will of course continue to stalk and haunt your blog. I love it. You, too, Asha et al.
